Work in Progress
In the time of Noah, people were eating, drinking and going about their daily business and the earth was swallowed up by water. Just like today, people continue to follow their own desires and the world is suffering with floods, fires, famines and earthquakes in various places as prophesied in the bible.
Sinking Earth | In the time of Noah, people were eating, drinking and going about their daily business and the earth was swallowed up by water. Recent work
The Rapture, a series of two paintings, each 195 cm2, is about the second coming of Jesus Christ as described in Chapter 24 of Matthew’s Gospel.
The first painting displays the emerald rainbow around God’s throne; the seven spirits of God; the four living creatures before His throne; and the living water running from His throne to the New Jerusalem. Around the emerald rainbow are some of the twenty-four elders who are seated around God’s throne and the thunder and lightening coming from God’s throne to the earth. Surrounding the New Jerusalem is the purple New Heaven, which is replacing the clouds of the old heaven, which is fading away as Jesus is descending with His angels, amidst the thunder and lightening, to gather the elect from the four corners of the earth. The painting shows the darkening of the sun; the lack of light coming from the moon and the falling of the heavenly bodies as described in Isaiah ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’
The second painting is the unknown day and hour, just like it was in the day of Noah. People are eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, traveling and going about with their business as usual. You can see the elect being gathered in the four corners of the earth, with the mark of Christ on their forehead; and the beginning of the destruction of the earth by fire.
From the Dust is a series of two paintings: the first is 175 x 90 cm, the second is 226 x 175cm. In this painting you see, coming out of the darkness, the Word who was in the beginning with God. ‘All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.’ (John 1).
You can notice the separation of the water above from the water below and the earth formed as a sphere. Coming out of the earth and the water is the product of God’s Word: all the animals, trees, birds all the living creatures of the oceans and rivers.
The Crucifixion is a series of 7 paintings, each 150 cm x 150 cm; which together form a cross 4.5 m x 7.5 m. It represents the spirit of Jesus on the cross: Jesus is the Word of God made flesh - this set of paintings is the bible from beginning to end, with particular emphasis on the number 7 which represents God's completeness and perfection throughout the bible and in nature. For example, each painting represents one of the 7 days of creation, 7 days of the week, 7 last words of Christ on the cross, 7 colors of the rainbow, 7 notes of music, 7 churches of the apocalypse, 7 last plagues on earth.
The Story of the Dog and the Fish is a tale of a dog passing by the lake and finding one of the fish in a frying pan. The dog stops to have a look, to check if the fish was just tired and waiting to jump back into the water, which has brought confusion into his mind. But how long is he going to be there waiting?
The World system
A system which is driven by humans' own thinking, power and religion. Taking away the freedom of humans and trampling the truth which is on the cross.
